Viasil Review visit website
Viasil is a new male enhancement pill made from all natural ingredients and claiming fast results with zero side effects. It’s core ingredient is a trademarked formula called Actiful which has been clinically proven to improve blood flow and energy levels.
Viasil claims to:
- Improve short and long term energy levels
- Increases vitality and endurance
- Increase blood flow (leading to thicker, stronger erections)
- Boost mitochondrial action (the process of turning nutrients into energy)
- Reduce symptoms of erectile dysfunction (primarily caused by anxiety)
Viasil is unlike the majority of other male enhancement pills in the sense that you literally take one pill, 30 minutes prior to sexual activity. It’s like an all natural, side effect free alternative to Viagra but the question is, does it actually work and if you suffer from erectile dysfunction will it help you overcome your symptoms?
It’s actually quite a refreshing thing to have a male enhancement pill on my desk that doesn’t need to be taken daily, for the long term over the course of months at a time.
To be able to take 1 pill, 30 minutes before sexual activity is a very appealing concept – we’ve seen this before with Viagra (and other prescription medications) but this is a completely natural supplement and as a result offers a “potentially” side effect free solution.
I saw “potentially” as although all the ingredients are natural (and you don’t need a prescription from your doctor to purchase this product), ingredients still affect everyone differently – for example if i consume a supplement with a high iron dosage it does make me suffer with some ill effects.
I’m going to be honest, I am quite sceptical as to the actual effectiveness of this product – the claims on the packaging specifically mention “fast results” (although do allude to exactly what fast results you can expect) whilst the Viasil website seems to avoid mentioning the speed of results whilst claiming you’ll get improved blood circulation and energy.
Perhaps it’s because this product is new and in its infancy or perhaps because they haven’t got a broad enough group of product testers, but the claims surrounding this product do seem a little vague and reserved.
That said it is quite nice to see a product that is perhaps slightly underselling itself compared to those blatant, white label, poor quality supplements that have little to zero positive impact.
Viasil Product Box & Pills
My initial delivery of Viasil came in a padded jiffy bag with no mention of its content – very discreet.
The white and blue box (which feels very clinical and medical) had taken quite a considerably bashing in transit and was really rather dented and crushed.
Given i was planning on doing some product photos and a video review, Viasil sent me out a complimentary extra box which arrived in a much better state. Given Viasil only give you 10 pills per box, that’s likely the reason they’ve opted for a single blister pack as opposed to a larger bottle of pills.
On the front of the box there is reference to the logo, company behind Viasil (Swiss Research Labs, Wolfson Berg Ltd which have offices in both the UK and Germany), three very specific product claims (100% natural, fast results and no side effects) and a reference to the per pill milligram dosage (850mg).
Flip the box over and you’ll find very brief directions for use/consumption, some warnings as well as the full supplement facts with ingredients broken down and detailed.
Notably due to being all natural as well as suitable for vegans and vegetarians, this sort of product doesn’t require any evaluation or assessment by the FDA.
These sort of natural supplements are deemed considerably weaker than prescription medications and are generally unregulated.
Open the box up and you’ll find a single blister pack containing 10 absolutely massive blue pills. I think of all the penis enhancement pills i’ve ever seen, Viasil has got to be the biggest!
It truly is massive packing in a whopping 850mg of ingredients.
Take note Viasil, this is seriously difficult to swallow, so unless you break the Viasil pill in half, it’d be really good to see 20 smaller 425mg pills in future versions.
Taking 2 smaller pills is so much easier than 1 huge, choke worthy version.
The Viasil pills are bright blue and don’t have any discernible smell or taste when consumed.
Viasil Product Photos
There are numerous product reviews of Viasil popping up all over web, but have you noticed how barely any of them actually have amateur photos or videos? It’s almost as though the people reviewing them have never actually purchased, seen or used the product.
In fact, having a scan through the other so called real reviews of Viasil and you’ll spot that the same set of 4-5 photos keep getting used.
If you’ve read any of my other product reviews, you’ll know that every product that is listed and reviewed on Penis Enlargement Resource has physically reached my desk – and the photos i take are testament to that!
Viasil Ingredients & Side Effects
Viasil contains 6 all natural ingredients; each has been specifically chosen with the aim of creating a male enhancement pill that not only quickly and effectively increases blood flow to the penis, but also improves male hormone levels, heightens your libido and gives you a boost in the energy department.
A quick scan through the rather small and select group of ingredients reveals there is very much a focus on increasing blood flow and overall circulation as Viasil tries to pitch itself as fast acting natural male performance enhancer.
Below you’ll find a breakdown of each individual ingredient highlighting the positive effects such an extract can have on your body and (importantly) your penis.
I’ve also included a brief mention where relevant of any potential side effects for each ingredient just to put things into perspective.
Despite being coined an all natural and completely side effect free supplement, some of the ingredients do have the potential to cause side effects.
There is also the potential for these ingredients to directly impact the effectiveness of other medications you may already be taking, so it is worth being wary that although side effects are unlikely, they are still possible.
It’s worth remember that one big positive from taking Viasil simply when you need it, means that any side effects will generally only last for a few hours after the ingredients are consumed. Compare that to male enhancement pills that you have to take daily and could give you negative side effects 24/7 and this is a big potential advantage.
Of the 6 core ingredients in Viasil (the majority of which we’ve seen in varying quantities in other male enhancement pills) the ingredient that is unique and really stands out is Actiful – a scientifically engineered yet all natural citrus and pomegranate “complex”.
The citrus element increases energy and blood flow, whilst the pomegranate increases nitric oxide which in turn again aids improved blood flow leading to heightened arousal levels.
This seems great on face value but when you delve into the specifics of the placebo-controlled trial, the results are of the clinical study carried out by Actiful are based on longer, more consistent consumption and a rather high age group (60-75 years) with findings based on walking and senior fitness tests – hardly arousing test metrics for what we’re looking for!
It’s also worth noting that the clinical trial of Actiful only consisted of 37 participants (both male and female). Half of the participants would have received the placebo. The other half received Actiful which consisted of 500mg orange extract and 200mg pomegranate actives.
Ultimately Actiful found in their tests that you would need a daily intake of 700mg of Actiful (the amount notably contained in each Viasil tablet) over the course of 6 weeks to achieve improved flexibility of arteries and (as a result) better blood flow.
In terms of energy, Actiful found that taking 700mg of Actiful daily over the course of 4 weeks resulted in energy levels being massively increased when compared against a placebo.
They found that within the first minute of taking Actiful you get a big kick of energy, and although that energy hit drops again initially, over the course of 10 minutes energy levels were still notably higher than the competing placebo.
I think the key takeaway here is that Actiful is a great ingredient however realistically, if you want to see the best results, you really need to take Viasil daily over the course of 4-6 weeks to really see the biggest improvement in fast arousal levels.
It sounds like Actiful would be great for older men suffering from erectile dysfunction however the verdict is still out as to whether younger consumers who take Viasil occasionally rather than consistently will see a big enough boost in arousal (especially within the suggested 30 minute timeframe).
With that in mind, to get the best results i am left wondering if products like VigRX Plus, Max Performer or Male Extra wouldn’t simply be a better, cheaper, long term solution which can be taken daily and build up in your system rather than simply being taken as and when which does seem to indicate could hinder the true potential of Actiful’s potential and benefits.
Dr Shalaka Samant Says…
The first and most important ingredient in Viasil is Actiful – present at 700mg in each 850mg pill of Viasil.
The Actiful blend is a Citrus sinensis (orange) and pomegranate complex that is thought to work in synergy to provide immediate energy and power with extended endurance and stamina. Specifically, it contains 500mg orange extract and 200mg pomegranate actives.
A four-week study conducted on 37 participants found Actiful to have a beneficial effect on the participants’ aerobic and anaerobic energy systems. Actiful has been shown to increase flow-mediated dilation. Flow-mediated dilation is a direct marker of the flexibility of the arteries since it shows the capability to adapt to changes in blood flow, for example, during exercise when the muscles need more oxygen and more nutrients to function.
That said, it is important to remember that this trial studied the effects of Actiful administration for 4 weeks and Viasil claims to exert its effect 30 minutes after consumption. A six-week double-blind study found that a 700mg dose of Actiful improves blood flow in human trials.
This ingredient can directly augment the efficiency of energy production at the mitochondrial level, supporting vitality. The citrus derivatives are believed to improve ATP levels and the pomegranate derivatives improve and boost nitric oxide synthesis.
Although a direct effect on erectile dysfunction has not been demonstrated for Actiful, bioactives derived from citrus and pomegranate have been shown to exert favorable effects on blood flow and energy systems, and could represent a novel, potent natural complex for supporting and maintaining active living and vitality.
Citrus flavonoids and pomegranate dOf erivatives have notable vasoprotective effects that have been observed in in vivo studies. It is also thought that flavonoids might be more likely than other dietary factors to improve erectile dysfunction (ED). Preparations containing hesperidin, a flavonoid abundant in oranges, have been shown to improve male infertility. However, all of these appear to be effects of prolonged consumption of bioactives from citrus fruits and pomegranates and the promised immediate effect of Viasil should be considered with skepticism. There are no side effects or contraindications for Actiful described in the literature.Read more
In recent years it’s been identified that low levels of zinc cause a number of different health related problems, one of the most notable (and relevant) being erectile dysfunction.
Zinc deficiency was shown in a 1996 study to have a clear relationship with low testosterone levels which in turn impacts a man’s ability to get aroused.
By increasing zinc levels you can essentially double your testosterone levels to overcome the symptoms of erectile dysfunction however improving the body’s natural levels of testosterone will only occur through the consumption of zinc if you have a specific deficiency.
Notably Viasil contains Zinc Picolinate at a meagre 1.5mg compared to the daily recommended dose of 11mg daily however Zinc Picolinate is more easily absorbed by the human body and hence reaches your bloodstream more effectively and efficiently hence the likely reason for the lower dosage.
Dr Shalaka Samant Says…
The next ingredient in this pill is zinc as zinc picolinate at 1.5 mg per pill. It is the second most abundant trace element in humans and plays a vital role in a number of physiological processes.
Zinc affects different aspects of mammalian reproduction. Testicular disruption, impaired spermatogenesis, and subsequent poor semen parameters are found in males with zinc deficiency.
Studies have established a clear relationship between zinc and testosterone levels. Zinc deficiency can lead to a decrease in testosterone levels and reduced sexual performance. Rodent diet supplemented with 5 mg per day zinc has been shown to greatly improve sexual function.
Given this information, it is difficult to determine how effective the 1.5 mg dose of zinc in Viasil might be. Nevertheless, inclusion of zinc in this product could potentially have multi-fold benefits for the user such as improved sperm quality, address symptoms of ED, and impart antioxidant activity.
Up to 40 mg zinc taken daily by mouth is completely safe. So the Viasil dose should not be responsible for any side effects. There are no drug interactions described for zinc in the literature.Read more
Horny Goat Weed Extract
Horny Goat Weed, known by a variety of names (including Epimedium and Yin-Yang-Ho), is a Chinese medicine that uses the leaves of the plant to not just improve sexual health, but also treat bone and kidney diseases.
It helps improve libdo, raise testosterone levels, treats erectile dysfunction and boost circulation as well as helping your body to increase lean muscle mass.
Amusing the the name Horny Goat Weed apparently came from farmers noticing that sheep and goats that ate the leaves of a specific plant became rather excited around the opposite sex, hence resulting in this extract being used in a number of other male enhancement pills on the market and the plant in question getting the name Horny Goat Weed.
Dr Shalaka Samant Says…
The next ingredient in Viasil is 100 mg of Horny goat weed extract (10:1) per tablet, which equals 1000 mg of the entire herb per serving.
Horny goat weed is an herb that has been used as a traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. It is used for treating low libido, erectile dysfunction (ED), fatigue, pain, and other conditions.
Lab studies have shown that a compound (icariin) present in this herb blocks the effects of the PDE5 enzyme that restricts blood flow to the penis. This activity is similar to that of other clinically used drugs for ED.
Icariin can also induce some forms of nitric oxide synthase and improve symptoms of ED and has the potential to address ED caused by nerve injury. At this time, there is not enough scientific information to determine an appropriate range of doses for horny goat weed.
Products containing this herb should be used with caution if the user is taking anti-hypertensive or anti-coagulant medication.
Safety of the horny goat weed extract has been demonstrated following oral consumption up to a six-month period. Long-term use of horny goat weed might cause dizziness, vomiting, dry mouth, thirst, and nosebleed.Read more
The most popular of 25 species in the Tribulus pool of what is essentially a common weed, Tribulus Terrestris has been shown to enhance sexual function and libido, reduce cholesterol levels, lower heart rate and blood pressure however its worth noting that although it can increase fertility in men, there is no proof to show or suggest that it improves testosterone levels.
The 100mg extract (10:1) is essentially a freeze dried version of the original plant allowing Viasil to offer the equivalent of consuming 1000mg of the herb in its original form.
Side effects are usually mild (if notable at all) however can cause stomach pain, nausea and a rather broad range of standard side effects however in very rare cases has been linked to reports of kidney damage.
Needless to say if you start experiencing any ill effects of Viasil or any other male enhancement supplement, you should always discontinue consumption.
Dr Shalaka Samant Says…
Tribulus terristris extract (12:1) at 25 mg/tablet which equals 300 mg of the whole herb. T. terrestris is a fruit-producing Mediterranean plant that is covered with spines. It is also called puncture vine or goat’s head.
In Ayurveda the root and fruits of this plant are used for male virility and general vitality, respectively. The roots enhance libido and sexual well-being while the fruits appear to be provide organ protection.
In animal research, the fruits of Tribulus appear to protect the liver and kidneys from oxidative damage at reasonably low dosages and also exert anti-stress effects; confirming the status of this herb as an adaptogen.
Tribulus is a potent libido enhancer in animals, and human studies assessing this have confirmed an increase in sexual well-being and erectile function. A 2012 study evaluated the effects of T. terrestris on the sperm count of patients. The researchers found this ingredient to improve total sperm count.
A 2016 study found T. terrestris to have nitric oxide boosting abilities along with androgen enhancing benefits. While it is not exactly known how Tribulus works, it might probably increase androgen receptor density in the brain which may lead to the libido-enhancing properties of androgens.
If one is taking diabetes medications, Tribulus might decrease one’s blood sugars to dangerously low levels. It may also increase the effect that steroids have on the body.
There is a concern that Tribulus might make prostate conditions such as benign prostate hypertrophy or prostate cancer worse. Patients with these conditions should exercise caution while taking supplements containing Tribulus.
Tribulus containing products should be used cautiously when taking anti-diabetic and blood pressure medication. Taking Tribulus as a supplement for a short time is probably safe, provided that one is healthy.
Side effects can include trouble sleeping and upset stomach. There is no evidence for interactions of Tribulus with any foods or other herbal supplements.Read more
Made from the root of the plant, Panax Ginseng grows in China and is known for its medicinal ability to reduce stress and improve overall well-being.
Beyond this however in terms of sexual health benefits, it boosts energy and has been shown in a few studies to improve the sexual function of men suffering from erectile dysfunction.
Most notably a 2002 Korean study which tested Ginseng on a group of men found in 60% of the test group, an improvement in symptoms were noted.
A more recent 2008 study however found that studies (for similar variant Red Ginseng), simply weren’t large enough or accurate enough to determine whether Ginseng can suitable affect those suffering from erectile dysfunction.
For short term usage (Viasil contains 20mg which is the equivalent to 400mg of whole herb which is the recommended daily dosage) you shouldn’t experience any side effects however with long term usage you could potentially start suffering from insomnia, headaches and vertigo which are common side effects of Panax Ginseng.
Dr Shalaka Samant Says…
Yet another ingredient in Viasil is Panax ginseng extract (20:1) at 20 mg/tablet which equals 400 mg of the whole herb.
Panax ginseng is a perennial herb native to Korea and China and has been used as an herbal remedy in eastern Asia for thousands of years. Modern therapeutic claims refer to vitality, immune function, cancer, cardiovascular diseases, improvement of cognitive and physical performance and sexual function.
A 2002 publication found ginseng to be an effective alternative to combating erectile dysfunction. Yet another study also corroborates the effectiveness of P. ginseng in treating ED. This herb can also improve prostate health in men.
Adverse effects associated with P. ginseng consumption are rare and it is generally considered safe. The most commonly experienced adverse events are headache, sleep and gastrointestinal disorders. Possible drug interactions have been reported between P. ginseng and warfarin, phenelzine and alcohol.Read more
Made from the leaves of the Ginkgo tree which has green, distinct, fan shaped leaves, Ginkgo Biloba is thought to be one of the oldest living trees (dating back more than 200 million years).
Its benefits stem from its powerful antioxidant properties whilst fighting inflammation and improving the function of your heart and blood circulation.
There are limited sources that suggest that Ginkgo Biloba can treat sexual dysfunction – this stems from its ability to improve the levels of nitric oxide in your blood which helps to improve circulation – however there are no conclusive studies and results indicate its effectiveness for such conditions (caused specifically by antidepressant drugs) are no better than placebos.
The suggested daily dosage of Ginkgo Biloba is 120-240mg split across several doses throughout the day – Viasil notably contains 4.8mg as a 50:1 extract which equates to 240mg of whole herb whilst as it’s an “as you need it” supplement, you can’t really split the dosage or pill and you have to take it all in one go.
Very much like Tribulus Terrestris, side effects can include nausea, diarrhoea, dizziness, and headaches however as you’re not going to be consuming this supplement daily, simply when you plan on undertake sexual activity it’s very unlikely you’ll experience any of these side effects (although obviously if you do, I’d simply suggest discontinuing usage).
Dr Shalaka Samant Says…
Another ingredient in Viasil is Ginkgo biloba extract (50:1) at 4.8 mg per tablet which equals 240 mg of the whole herb. The extract of the leaves of the maidenhair tree, has been used therapeutically in Asia for centuries and is noted for its cerebral enhancing effects.
It has also been thought to improve sexual desire, erections, and orgasms. Another study supports its efficacy in treating ED. Dosages used in these studies were similar to the one present in one serving of Viasil, in terms of the whole herb extract. However, administration of the extract was continued for long periods – 9 months.
The bioactives in Ginkgo – “ginkgolides,” terpenoids and flavinoids – appear to inhibit platelet aggregation, neutrophil degranulation, and the induction of oxygen-free radical production. This ingredient can also boost nitric oxide levels.
The common side effects noted are gastrointestinal disturbances, headache, and general central nervous system activation. Bleeding can occur in patients taking warfarin concurrently.Read more
Viasil Money Back Guarantee
Given the price of Viasil, it’s not the cheapest of products however to alleviate the fear of Viasil not working or being as effective as you’d hope, they’ve taken the bold step (as you’re generally see from any male enhancement pill) of offering a lengthy 60 day money back guarantee.
On closer inspection of the refund policy page, the wording seems to indicate that that the money back guarantee is potentially only applicable on larger order values (as it mentions returning unused boxes).
On contacting their live chat customer support (notably they make no reference to their 60 day guarantee on their terms and conditions page), they confirmed that the money back guarantee does indeed also include and cover a one box, 10 tablet supply.
Put simply you can buy any of the 3 available packages (10, 30 or 50 tablets) and as long as you return the empty and any unopened boxes within 67 days (60 days to test it out, 7 days to ship it back), Viasil will give you a full refund excluding the cost of the return shipping.
Just make sure you don’t throw any of the empty boxes away as these need returning in order to qualify for the refund.
How Much Does Viasil Cost?
Viasil is not cheap – they offer 3 packages comprising 10, 30 and 50 tablets.
The larger the order size, the bigger the saving so unless your rather cash strapped, i’d highly recommend buying the 50 tablet supply given the 60 day money back guarantee (as discussed above).

Does Viasil Work? My Verdict!
Having done a full analysis of the 6 ingredients in Viasil it’s quite easy to identify the fact that the majority of ingredients have been selected based on their ability to improve blood flow and circulation whilst on a secondary level giving an energy boost and increasing libdo and confidence (by reducing anxiety).
If Viasil was a male enhancement pill that you took daily, on a routine basis I can see how the level of ingredients could build up and deliver sustained long term results however at this stage is difficult to determine if the combined quantities of ingredients can indeed produce an increase in blood flow leading to heightened arousal levels within the suggested 30 minutes prior to sexual activity.
The inclusion of Actiful is where Viasil is clearly basing it’s timescales given it gives a big energy boost within the first 1-2 minutes of consumption.
Not only should Viasil give you thicker, stronger erections (especially if you’re taking it quite regularly over the long term), you’ll see a big spike in energy and you should also start experiencing a higher sex drive (libido).
Personally i think Viasil has a lot of merits based on its combined and (in the case of Actiful) rather unique set of ingredients. I think the biggest benefit of this product will be seen from those in the older age groups (anywhere from 40+) or from those that suffer from anxiety based erectile dysfunction.

Should I Buy Viasil?
Put simply, YES!!!
I’d personally opt for the largest, most expensive supply (50 pills) if your budget can stretch to it, as this offers the biggest saving and the lowest cost per pill as shown in my pricing breakdown.
I recommend this option purely because of the comprehensive 60 day money back guarantee – if this wasn’t offered, i’d be recommending that you buy the cheapest, 10 tablet supply to test it out and reduce your risk on the off chance the product didn’t work.
Thanks to the 60 day money back guarantee, if you don’t like the product you can return it and get a refund, but if you love it and it works for you, then you’ll only just want to buy some more (and wish you’d bought more at a lower, cheaper price).
The likes of Viasil won’t cure your erectile dysfunction, it’ll purely mask the associated symptoms and arousal problems your suffering from however if you treat your erectile dysfunction with a vacuum constriction device (VCD) you can the stop taking penis enhancement pills like Viasil completely (and hence avoid the long term cost of such products).
